Major design changes and performance updates
This release includes many product improvements and updates, which is part of our commitment to continuous product improvement and user feedback.
A revamped mail experience
Since our initial release of our re-design over a year ago, we continued to change and improve the interface based on your feedback. Today, we are releasing a significant design change that takes the mail tabs to the top of the page and gives the compose button a prominent space.
We have made some updates to improve your experience on our platform. Firstly, we have adjusted the font sizes to suit your device's resolution. Additionally, we have increased the contrast of all elements to make them easier to see.
In the left sidebar, we have rearranged all elements to ensure they are uniform in font and icon sizes and automatically adjust to your device's size. We have also adjusted the padding of all elements to give you a better view of your mailboxes and emails, which will significantly benefit those with lower screen resolution.
Faster and lighter
A product like Helpmonks is composed of several libraries. During our code review, we identified some that used excessive memory or caused unnecessary overload.
After a complete refactoring of the email listing page, it is now faster and lighter. This backend-based change resulted in a 40% reduction in memory usage, particularly on Windows.
In addition, instead of providing an endless scroll, which rarely makes sense, we are loading the first hundred emails automatically with the option to load the next hundred emails, speeding up the overall performance for everyone.
From here on forward
While we don't send updates for every change we make, please know that we continuously work on improving Helpmonks and making many enhancements behind the scenes, i.e., database, server tasks, network, etc., resulting in a faster and more stable experience for you.
One thing we are working on is bringing Helpmonks closer to you, meaning we are working on native mobile applications. In case you missed it, we already have a native Windows and macOS application for Helpmonks (download it here).
As always, we appreciate your valuable thoughts and comments. Your feedback is vital to us and helps us improve our services. We take the time to read and respond to each comment we receive, so please do not hesitate to reach out.
