Email Delivery

We take email deliverability very seriously, so from time to time, we monitor the health of our domain and mail servers

When you send an email that can't be delivered, our mail servers will try, and if after multiple attempts that it cannot be delivered, you’ll get a notification which is displayed within the email thread. Usually, mail servers will provide an error response to indicate the nature of the error, but depending on how the recipient server is configured, you may also not receive a bounce-back notification.

There are several components that influence delivery from making its way to the recipient such as blacklists, mail-server providers, the recipient’s reaction to your email, the content you are sending, and so forth. Hence, wmake the delivery log available within every outgoing email in Helpmonks which is just a click away.

Here’s how to check it in Helpmonks Version 2:

Here’s how to check it in Helpmonks Version 3:

Additionally, if you have multiple mailboxes in Helpmonks and wants to check the delivery status for all outgoing email, you can simply go to the Activity Log Section.

For Helpmonks Version 2:
In the current Helpmonks, simply click your name in the top right corner and select Activity Logs, then, go to the Email Delivery tab.

For Helpmonks Version 3:
In the new design, please go to the Mail Section and click Settings in the right corner. Then, select Activity Logs and go to the Email Delivery tab.

We understand that failed delivery can have a negative impact on your business and relationship with your customers. Thus, understanding the status of email delivery is an important thing to know, so it can be corrected.

If your emails are not delivered only to a specific domain only, it is likely that they are being blocked as spam. This usually happens when your sending credentials are not properly configured. You may check the sending server you use by going to the Mailbox Settings > SMTP Settings.

If you use our SMTP servers without an SPF record, the recipient’s server would suspect that you are trying to get unauthorized communications. Thus, adding these records tells that we are allowed to send emails on your behalf (see the related topics for more info).
